Jessica and Cameron were a great couple to work with. Their bright and fresh personalities shined through on their wedding day not only in spirit but in color! Tangerine, fuchsia, vibrant purple and crisp green apple tastefully weaved through out the event and evoke pure joy from the revelers.
Booking with us a year and a half in advance of their wedding day gave us a great opportunity to see their creative process and thoughts behind building their dream day firsthand. With the bold color palette they selected incorporated through the dresses, flowers, linens, and decor items (like up-lighting and chair sashes from Splash Decor), these special pieces added together to build a symphony of strength, passion and playfulness that really sums up their love for each other.
The couple also chose to incorporate their love for travel into the event through their place cards and table name markers. These items really added a personal stamp to the day that read like a road map of happy travels through their journey together as a couple. Each table presented guests with a snapshot into a special trip or moment in Jessica and Cameron's lives that can and will be carried forward in their life together as husband and wife.
The whimsy and cheer they evoked in their wedding day was no doubt soaked in by their friends and family. We too as vendors can even say that their reception brings a smile to our face when we look back.

A note on the Decor from Diane with Splash Decor...
It was really fun to be a part of Jessica and Cameron's wedding that incorporated such a bold, fun color palette in all areas of their event. They used 18 up-lights illuminating the cocktail area, buffet room, upper and lower ballroom each in one of their four wedding colors (Orange, Purple, Pink and Lime Green). They also used these four colors in the chair bows for the ceremony matching the Bridesmaids dresses. Lighting was very important to this couple so in addition to the colored up-lights, they used cafe lighting in the ballroom, back patio and fountain areas thus creating a really fun atmosphere in all possible areas.

This year is shaping up to be one full of vibrant colors, far away travelers and funky style. Wedding planners worldwide predicted that this year would be filled with copy cat weddings striving to match the formality of the Royal Wedding and mod glam of Kim Kardashian's 20 million dollar swanky soiree. Instead, what we are finding is that couples are much more interested in creating fun and unique weddings that focus on family, friends and their own life story. There is no rule book for these events, they are open to fresh ideas and trying something that has not been done before. They don't want to be a cookie cutter couples, they want to be matrimonial pioneers! Here are a few weddings that we have enjoyed and broke the mold in their own way.

Tuxes are so two thousand and eleven! Mike and his groomsmen rocked it out in skater shorts and Milena's maids were truly stunning in jewel tone shades from head to toe.
Kit and Kendall - May 6th, 2012
As a wedding vendor herself, Kit knew exactly what she wanted for her wedding and did not let a little rain wash away her wedding dream. Her amazing unique flowers, cowboy boots and succulent favors were just a few touches that she and Kendall added to put their own stamp on the day.

Yuriko and Takeshi - June 5th, 2012
With 13 lucky guests Yuriko and Takeshi traveled all the way from Japan to say "I Do" at Lionscrest. Family and cultural traditions were still represented with the use of paper cranes and a tea ceremony.

Kirsten and Dave came to Lionscrest in the fall of 2010 and after touring the venue decided this was the place for them. With a summer wedding in their minds eye they set out to plan the event of their dreams. Many couples come to Lionscrest and ask for help on all of the planning details but Kirsten and Dave hired Kerri with, A Touch of Bliss. Together they worked on taking the dream to reality. With a Venue Only package Kirsten and Dave felt in control to choose the vendors that truly matched their style and vision. With Kerri by their side the couple created a summer affair that warmed the hearts of their guests and filled them with love, laughter and a bit of nostalgia.
The photographic documentation of the day was captured by Garrett with Photography G. We feel privileged to have been working with Garrett for over a decade now and each time he shoots a wedding at Lionscrest we see the hard work and dedication he puts into his craft. He truly has the gift!

Danielle and Vincente were joined by a small group of friends and family for their special day. The warmth and intimacy of this event of 60 in attendance can be seen in the photos that follow.
With a swagger Vincente made his way down the aisle and awaited his bride. Danielle made her way down the aisle in a stunning strapless gown with curls in her hair and a twinkle of delight in her eyes. As they spoke to each other and gave their vows the sun seemed to shine down brighter than normal for a sunny day. The light reflected from them filled the guests with joy and love that only a wedding can bring.
Sunrays filled the ballroom and reception space making every item touched that much more rich and alive. With shades of raspberry and colbalt blue the fresh and fun flowers from European Flower Shop had everyone talking. Bright pink peonies heated from the sun let off a sweet scent and brought back memories of summers long gone.
Greens Point Catering worked through out the event to assure that no details were missed and that the food and drinks flowed. The couple chose a family style meal to add to the warmth and comfort the desired for their friends and family.
Polpetta di Lupo (meatless meatballs with house made marinara)
Truffle Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms
Crab cake BLT’s
Plated Salad and Pre Set Bread
Family Style Dinner
Boneless Short Ribs
Roasted Red Bliss Potatoes
As the sun went down the couple made sure to keep the heat turned up with their funky first dance. From one song to the next Pure Sounds Productions heated up the floor and the guests went wild and danced the night away.
Warmest Wishes to Danielle and Vincente!

Shades of green under a blue sky brought together on a gorgeous day. Chassity and Andrew were joined together as husband and wife at Lionscrest Manor on June 10th. The natural and rugged sandstone formations were a perfect backdrop for this stunning event set in the heart of the Colorado Foothills.
Lyons local Reverend Sam Tallent performed the ceremony in front of their friends and family. Sam the "Big Teddy Bear" spoke to all present about the future Chassity and Andrew are building together and to the love they share. As the ceremony ended Mr. and Mrs. walked down the aisle hand in hand under a shower of bubbles.
As guests made their way to the cocktail hour, the couple, family and wedding party continued their photos with Elegant Images in the many different unique areas and surrounds that the manor has to offer. With 35 acres they had their pic of spots for those once in a lifetime pics. Even sporting dazzling emerald heels, Chassity was determined to trek up the mountain bluff for their couple only photo shoot.
The flowers for the event were amazing and artfully crafted by Deb with Reale Decorating. The variety of green shaded flowers worked together as a delightful palette for the ballroom reception. The couple also selected the tulle and lights and black swagging for the ballroom space to bring together the elegant decor and help transition the event from day to night.
Speaking of elegance and simplicity, check out the couples cake from Colorado Rose Cake Co. The white with tiny black floral accents and gorgeous cake topper spoke to the couples love for all things modern and tasteful. The cake looked like a piece of artwork you would find in a museum, set on display for the guests to look upon, admire and then devour.
As the reception was set to begin the couple was announced into the ballroom accompanied by their body guard ninja groomsmen and weather girl bridesmaids.
Guests dined on the culinary delights selected by the couple from Greens Point Catering. Here is the couples selected menu to tickle your tastebuds....
Traditional Deviled Eggs (nothing like good 'ole comfort food)
Wild Rice and Spinach Fritters
“Simple” Salad (mixed greens, sea salt, olive oil, sherry vinegar)
Boneless Sort Ribs of Beef with Red Ver jus Demi Glace
Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes
Sautéed Green Beans
As a special thanks to Kammi and Ross with Elegant Images, Chassity and Andrew had a replica of their wedding cake made which was presented to them during the reception. This was Kammi and Ross' 10th anniversary and being that they too were married at Lionscrest the couple thought it would be a special touch for them to share their cake as they played Kammi and Ross' first dance song. Too Sweet!
Champagne flowed and dancers twirled as the clock marched forward and chimed the end to this amazing day.
We hope that the memories of the event will stay fresh in the minds of those who attended and that when they think of the fun they had the send out a wish of eternal love and happiness for Chassity and Andrew.
Leslie and Adam were married at Lionscrest on June 25th with a an intimate wedding and reception. Just because you have a smaller wedding does not mean you are missing out on the fun. As these wonderful photos courtesy of Elegant Images show, summer sun + couple in love + friends and family = A Magical Wedding Story.
Leslie looked absolutely stunning in her strapless cream gown. Her flower choice of white with accents of light pinks in peonies and orchids offset with crystal accents made this event both elegant and unexpected.
Fresh flowers could be found everywhere that day. Both from Mother Nature and the petal mavens of Boulder Blooms. Teresa and crew did a fabulous job and once again left us with nothing but the highest of praises for their work.
Marci with Colorado Rose created this wonderful cake for the Bride and Groom. The four tiered ivory cake sat in the ballroom like a jewel box waiting to be opened. Simple fresh flower accents pulled this classic look together.
With music by Pure Sounds Productions the couple twirled around the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife. A moment caught in time, we feel like Leslie and Adam's wedding is a snap shot of the American dream that endures the tests of time.
